The Kid Makes a LOT of Noise...

But you can't necessarily hear it JUST YET! Here is a video from my picture camera, I'm still working on the video camera sound part...

Cameron is a very happy little boy who spends most of his day with a smile on his face...except for when it's feedin' time and we are not fast enough! He is juuuust about crawling all over the house. He does this crazy little leap forward motion about a foot at a time. His main motivation...DADDY's remote control! Put it down any where near him and he'll do whatever it takes to get to it...it's HILARIOUS!

Long Time No See!

Cameron has turned out to be a real handful! It takes a lot of time to keep him clean and fed, it's like...a full time job! Therefore it is not as easy as I thought to keep this blog updated. However...here are some fun pics:

Cam did a little bit of drinkin' on St Patty's, but he's got a lot to learn to catch up to his Papa!

Enjoying a giggle on the couch.

Cameron went for his first swin in the pool late in May.

He also enjoyed meeting his Great Grandmother in May...Grandma Raube couldn't get enough Cam!

It took a little while for the splashing to begin, but when it did!

Look at how big the boy has gotten! This is 2 weeks ago.

He loves his Papose!

Bathtime is fun!

I'm going to do some video experiments in the next couple of weeks...maybe you can hear him soon!

Hello all. This is the first blog I've written so I hope you enjoy it as much as the ones written by Cas. We took Cameron for his first big road trip on Friday, February 15th. We headed for our seven hour trip to St. Augustine Florida so that Cameron could visit with his Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Mo Mo. I must say, our wonderful son traveled well. He only got fussy when he was hungry or when he was bored and wanted to get out of the car to be held. Mom and Dad however, had very little room to manuever due to the fact that we ( Mom ) packed everything Cameron owns:) Anyway, Grandma has been GUSHING over " The Boy " from the moment we walked in the door. Cameron was spoiled with an array of gifts as you could only imagine.

Cameron also got to meet his Uncle Kevin ( Cas' best friend ) for the first time. It was love at first sight for both of them. Uncle Kevin had this magical way of putting Cameron into a calm trance with his eyes. It was really quite amazing.

Cas will be going back home on Monday, work calls. Cam and I will be in Florida until Thursday. I am hoping the weather gets hot enough to put Cam in the pool for the first time. I can't wait to see him in his little bathingsuit.

Until next time. Love Dana:)

But Daddy, Ma Belly Hurts!

Hello all,

Cam had his 2 month checkup yesterday...couldn't have come soon enough! The poor boy has been screaming bloody murder for the better part of the last couple of days. Dana and I weren't sure if he was just cranky, or if there was a deeper cause for his anguish.

The doctor was helpful? Looks like we've got him upgraded to Prevacid, from Zantac, maybe this will finally soothe the little booger. He also got his first round of immunizations, and surprisingly took it pretty well. The doctor told us we could give him Kids Tylenol that night...HOLY CRAP does that stuff work! Cam slept and slept and slept. He woke up just in time to scream some while mommy and daddy tried to have a nice sit down dinner. Dana GTB...(gave the boob), and this was Cam's face after he was all said and done. It says to me, "I'm rested, I'm full, NOW STOP TAKING PICTURES OF ME LIKE THE PAPARAZZI, POP!"

See ya soon!

Agita and the Christmakkuh Baby

Sugar Hill, GA...

Cameron, aka Cam, has had quite an eventful first couple of weeks, to say the least.
Hanukkah at the beginning of December brought Dana's Aunt Sue and Uncle Roy to visit from West Chester, PA. They spent the weekend with Cam cuddling, gushing, and snapping, oh, I don't know, maybe 200 pictures! We had a great time visiting with them, as it was their first visit to our home in Georgia.
Sue and Roy

Grandma Maze didn't spend TOO much time away from her little man, Mom spent the first few weeks with us, and went home, only to return with her Santa outfit on (not literally!). Mom, Pop, and Auntie MoMo came in on Sunday the 23rd fully stocked with booty...the boy is already spoiled! Mom and Meredith have been a HUGE help in our first couple of weeks, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

After having a couple of rough nights with Cam kicking and crying, we began to wonder if he was feeling OK, or if he was just being a baby. We had our 1 month check up yesterday, the 28th, and after describing to the doctor his behavior, the doc said he probably has acid reflux disease. OH NO...of all things for me to pass on to this poor kid, he's got papa's AGITA! Thanks to the doctors prescription (Zantac!), Cam's last 2 days have been sleepy ones. If he feels anything like I do without out meds, I can certainly understand why he was so cranky! Other than that, not much to report from the checkup, the doc said he was PERFECT! (We knew that already!)

Hopefully I find more time to post every couple of weeks, hang in there for more pics, and hopefully video!

Cameron's Birthday!

Cameron Julius Masiak was born at 12:05 on Wednesday 11/28/2007 in Lawrenceville, GA, Gwinnett Medical Center. Cam weighed in at 7lbs 5oz, and his length was 20 1/4 inches. Our boy was born happy and healthy, and certainly hungry like his papa!

Dana and I were awoken Tuesday the 27th with Dana's "bag 'o waters" breaking. Dana said, "Cas...I don't think you're going to work today", and I quickly began scrambling around for phone lists, packed bags, and photo equipment. We calmly loaded the car, and made our way to the hospital at about 7am, while calling family and close friends. Mom and sis/grandma and aunt were ecstatic, and jumped in the car for the 7 hour trip from St Augustine to North Atlanta.

We got checked in, got comfy, and then waited most of the day for Dana's mood to change from gleeful, to painful. Mom and Meredith arrived about 2pm, and we resorted to playing rummy to pass the time. At about 4pm, the midwife suggested an "augmentation" pill to get things moving. Only 4 hours later at 8pm did she start to feel the pain of contractions. This was a great sign, but you couldn't tell that to her, she was in a TON of pain. After about 2 hours of struggling, "Doctor Dave" the anistesiologist came in and relieved her with the epidural. We slept through the night (yeah right!), and began pushing at 10am the next day.

Dana pushed and pushed for about 2 hours, and little Cameron peeked out, and was born at 12:05pm. The little guy was happy already, and did very little crying in his first couple of minutes. Dana turned back into the Dana we know and love, all smiles, with some tears mixed in. It was just beginning...

About a half hour later, I went to grab the newest grandmother in the world, came back and poor Dana had turned white, and felt nautious. In true "drama queen" style, Dana had a small episode that drew the entire floor staff into the room. She passed right out, and woke up to questions like, "do you know where you are", and "do you know who this is" (pointing at me). Dana recovered slowly, and felt much better just hours later. We spent the night at the hospital, and were released the next evening. Cam was a true gentleman for close to 36 hours, quiet as can be, and not doing much but sleeping. Things would soon change...stay tuned!
